About This Build
The 24×30 Backyard Griller is built around one idea: give the cook total control over the fire. The adjustable coal bed is the key feature — it drops from 6″ to 16″ below the grate, meaning you can dial in your fire distance the same way a professional grill cook does. Sear close over a screaming hot bed of coals, then raise to a gentle finish. No moving food around to find a cooler spot.
It ships rotisserie-ready — the motor, 1/2″ stainless spit rod, and forks are included in the base price. Most grills charge extra for that or don’t offer it at all.
Who It’s For
If you’re looking for your first Legacy cooker, this is the natural starting point. It’s the most versatile unit in the lineup — you can sear steaks direct, cook chicken on the rotisserie, smoke ribs indirectly, and grill just about anything in between. All on a single grill that’s compact enough for any backyard.
At $3,950, it’s also the most accessible entry into a Legacy build. Customers who start here often come back for an offset smoker or Santa Maria — but this grill will hold its own as a standalone cooker for years.
