A chimney starter shouldn’t be an afterthought. The Legacy chimney is built from 1/8″ steel — heavier than anything you’ll find at a big-box store — and fabricated in the same shop as every Legacy cooker. It’s not a product we sourced from a catalog. It’s built here.
The 8″×12″ capacity is large enough to fully load the coal bed on any Legacy cooker in a single light. No second chimney needed, no waiting for more coals to come up to temp.

A chimney starter is the only right way to light charcoal. No lighter fluid, no chemical taste in your food, no waiting for an uneven pile to come up to temp. Fill the chimney, light a piece of newspaper underneath, and in 15–20 minutes you have a full load of coals ready to pour.
